The Foundation is an independent organization, responsible for its management and oversight, and employing local staff to deliver its service. The Foundation is supported and funded by the COSARAF Foundation, the Charity Commission-registered grant-making charity funded by the Sheikh family. Rukhsana Sheikh serves as a trustee of the Foundation (procedures are in place to avoid conflicts of interest) ensuring close collaboration between the Foundations. The Foundation is also able to count upon the support of the COSARAF team for wider support.
