Fahmida Begum Foundation aims to be among the top welfare organizations in Pakistan in a few years. The organization will help the needy and underprivileged sections of society to grow, prosper, and contribute towards the prosperity of society and the betterment of the country.
Our Vision
The Fahmida Begum Foundation envisions bridging the gap between the privileged and underprivileged, the rich and poor, and the upper and lower classes. Our vision is to empower the lowest sections of society, providing them with the support they need to fulfill their essential needs and elevate their social status.

Welcome to the Fahmida Begum Foundation, a beacon of hope and compassion nestled in the heart of Mehran Town, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. As a non-profit, privately owned welfare organization, we stand committed to our mission of ‘Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives.’ Established on December 27, 2014, by the children of Mr. Sheikh Abdul Rashid (late) and Mrs. Fahmida Begum (late), the Foundation pays homage to the enduring legacy of their late mother.
The Fahmida Begum Foundation owes its existence, in part, to the steadfast support of the COSARAF Charitable Foundation, UK. At our core, we harbor a profound sense of purpose – extending a helping hand to those in need. In our early days, we focused on providing shelter and nourishment to families struggling to make ends meet. Over the years, our activities and support have expanded, embracing a wider spectrum of assistance including education, food, medical aid, financial support, skill development, women’s empowerment, disability awareness and support, microfinance assistance, hardship grants, and vocational and occupational training. All these efforts converge to fulfill the visionary dream of Mrs. Fahmida Begum – the eradication of illiteracy, hunger, and poverty from our society.
As we look to the future, we envision a heightened and impactful role in shaping sustainable communities, empowering young people, and fostering responsible citizenship. We aspire to harness cutting-edge technologies, embrace innovative approaches, and cultivate strategic partnerships to address the evolving challenges in our society.
