PCA Autism Awareness Drive Promotes Understanding and Inclusion at Lucky One

The Pakistan Center of Autism (PCA) recently hosted a successful Autism Awareness Drive at Lucky One, a significant event focused on education and fostering inclusive discussions. The drive united a diverse group of educators, community leaders, and autism specialists dedicated to increasing understanding of autism spectrum disorder. A notable contribution came from the experienced teachers of Fahmida Begum School’s SEND Department, who shared their valuable expertise and practical experiences in supporting students with special educational needs. The presence of distinguished leaders like Ms. Ratna Deewan, Deputy Director of SPDPA, underscored the initiative’s importance and potential to influence policy and practice.

The event effectively promoted understanding and support through engaging activities. Storytelling sessions offered a platform for personal narratives, while sensory activities provided insights into the sensory sensitivities faced by individuals with autism. Furthermore, special learning activities designed for SEND students showcased effective educational strategies and promoted inclusive teaching practices.
